Prior to joining Saranac Partners, Alexis worked for Citibank where he headed the EMEA Private Markets Investment team. Alexis has over 16 years of Private Equity investment experience with 3i Group, LGT Capital Partners, as well as the Boston Consulting Group and Credit Suisse’s Investment Banking Department.
Alexis holds a joint Major in Accounting and Finance from Lancaster University, and an Msc in International finance from Skema Business School in France

Allan joined Saranac Partners in December 2017 as part of the Operations team, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations, and implementing processes to ensure helpful supporting of the front office and clients

Brent joined Saranac in 2016 from Barclays where he led the UHNW investment proposition and formerly worked at Morgan Stanley as an Investment Advisor. He studied at the University of Sydney and completed his studies at the University of Vienna.

Brit is a Compliance Associate at Saranac Partners. He supports the business and their activity by looking at the regulatory impact as part of the Governance team. Brit helps ensure FCA and European guidelines are adhered to and supports new initiatives.
Brit previously worked in the Compliance Advisory team for the Deutsche Bank Wealth Management business. Prior to that he held multiple controls related positions in different divisions for Deutsche Bank.

Gordon joined the Board of Saranac in 2017 as a non-Executive Director.
Gordon is Chief of Staff at Aberdeen Standard and acts as advisor to the CEO in defining the company’s strategic agenda and delivering the projects that support this. He also manages and coordinates the company’s Global Leadership Group, which is responsible for delivering and monitoring progress against their business plans.
Gordon joined Aberdeen Asset Management in 2016 from Cantor Fitzgerald where he held the position of Joint CEO. Before this, he was Head of Financials and Investment Companies at Canaccord Genuity following its acquisition of Intelli Corporate Finance, of which he was a founder. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant at the Scottish Institute in 1984.
He is also a non-executive director of Personal Assets Trust and the Noé Group.

Helen is Saranac’s in-house lawyer. She is a senior lawyer with in excess of 20 years’ experience in private banking, retail financial services and insurance law. Helen’s expertise covers regulatory, corporate, governance and company secretarial work.
Prior to joining Saranac in September 2019, Helen was General Counsel and Company Secretary at a start up mortgage lender, she has previously held head of legal positions at Coutts Bank and Bupa UK Insurance.

James is an Operations Associate, who joined us in the Summer of 2019 after 5 years in Wealth Management Operations at James Hambro & Partners and Sandaire.
As part of the Operations team, James provides support for our Client Advisers and Propositions team as they work with our clients.
James graduated in 2012 from Loughborough University with a BSc in Economics.

Jeff joined the Board of Saranac Partners in 2017 as a non-Executive Director.

Richard Berliand’s career in the Financial Services sector spans over 35 years. He retired from a full time executive role at J.P.Morgan in 2011. During his 23 years with the Firm, he was involved in multiple asset classes and geographies, most recently as Managing Director leading the Global Cash Equities and Prime Services businesses and chairing the firm’s Market Structure practice.
Richard’s current non-executive activities include a number of roles in the markets arena, including as Chairman of TP ICAP plc, the world’s largest inter-dealer broker, and Senior Independent Director of Man Group plc, the largest listed hedge fund group. Previous non-executive positions have included Deutsche Börse AG, Rothesay Life plc, LIFFE and London Clearing House.

Richard Urwin is Chairman of the Investment Committee.
Along with other members of the Committee, he is responsible for developing and implementing the investment frameworks used by Saranac to manage client assets. These includes asset allocation, security selection and the selection of external managers. He is also involved in communicating Saranac views and performance directly to clients.
Prior to joining Saranac, he was Head of the Outsourced CIO function at BlackRock in Europe, responsible for managing $80bn of assets. He was previously Head of Economics and Asset Allocation at Gartmore Fund Managers, and an Economist at Warburgs, the Investment Bank.
Richard has a BA and an MA in economics, an MBA, and an MA and MRes in philosophy.

Steven Edwards leads Saranac’s real estate investment and advisory business.
He has nearly 20 years of experience in the UK and European real estate markets. He has both advised and invested in all major commercial property classes in both public and private markets covering both debt and equity investments.
Over the course of his career he has had lead roles in over $20 billion of European property transactions – ranging from M&A advisory, IPO’s and private debt and equity investments. He previously held senior roles at ARES Management, JP Morgan and Citigroup.
Additionally, he serves on the board of Qualco (a Pimco company) and acts as CIO of Bricklane. Steve has a BA from Cornell University.

Prior to joining Saranac Partners she was a Managing Director at Barclays Wealth. Tanvi also held a number of roles at ABN Amro, RBS and Credit Suisse in London, Asia and the United States.
Tanvi holds a MSc in Finance from the London Business School and a BSc in Chemistry from the University of London.

Prior to joining Saranac in 2017, Thymios was a strategy consultant with Strategic Decisions Group in San Francisco.
Thymios holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and an Engineering Diploma from the National Technical University of Athens

Tom is a Client Advisor at Saranac Partners. He advises a diverse group of European entrepreneurs and families across their investment and broader financial affairs.
Working with his entrepreneurial clients, Tom provides expertise to business owners from the growth stages of their businesses through to major liquidity events and beyond. Tom has a particular interest in supporting and connecting the European technology community.
Prior to joining Saranac in 2017, Tom worked with a variety of domestic and international clients at Barclays and Bank Leumi.
Tom holds a BA in History & Politics from Durham University.
