Alberto is the Head of Operations at Saranac Partners Europe. He is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the European office, the relationship with external vendors and the regulatory compliance requirements of the firm.
Prior to joining Saranac Partners Europe in February 2022, Alberto worked for over 10 years in Private Banking for the French group Crédit Agricole (CA Indosuez Wealth Management), leading the operations teams in Spain as well as steering a number of key strategic European projects.
Alberto is trilingual in French, Spanish and English. He holds a degree in economics from the University of Santiago de Compostela and a master’s degree in banking with a specialisation in derivatives from EF Business School.

Ben is an Investment Advisor at Saranac Partners. He specialises in cross-asset advisory, analytics and execution.
Ben provides bespoke investment solutions and idea generation across a variety of asset classes. He performs investment analysis for clients and focuses on enhancing the trading capabilities of the firm.
Prior to joining Saranac in 2016, Ben worked within the Portfolio Solutions team at Barclays Wealth & Investment Management.
Ben gained his undergraduate degree in Accounting & Finance from Warwick Business School.

Charlotte Beechey

Charlotte Beechey joined Saranac in June 2022. She began working in our London office assisting the Client Service team and currently works in Saranac Partners Europe as an Analyst supporting the Client Advisors and backoffice.
Charlotte is currently studying Commerce at Complutense University in Madrid and has completed summer courses at ESIC Business School.

Jorge Juanas Okornicki

Jorge Juanas Okornicki is a senior advisor and partner at Saranac Partners with over 20 years of experience in financial services. Before joining Saranac Partners he worked for Julius Baer in Zurich and Madrid where he was a senior advisor and more recently responsible for the Corporate Advisory for Spanish clients.
Previously he worked at Credit Suisse in the UHNWI department advising families and their corporates and at Lehman Brothers investment bank in London. He has experience in M&A, IPOs, Strategic Asset Allocation, Hedging strategies, yield enhancement strategies, derivatives. Jorge participated in the setup of European office in Madrid where he joined in September 2022.

Maria Porta
Maria is CEO of Saranac Partners Europe and one of the founders of the Madrid office. She has over 20 years experience working as a Senior Client Advisor in Financial Services. Skilled in Investment Advisory for Global Family Offices and Corporate Strategy for Family Enterprises, Venture Capitalist and Entrepreneurs.
Maria has advised large and sophisticated clients with strategic planning and decision-making for their Family Office; outsourcing CIO services, asset allocation, risk and investment management, DD and access to the best in class products and services.
In recent years, Maria has provided high level strategic advisory to approximately 25+ major Corporate Groups to achieve their goals, allocating best in class teams, in areas such as: M&A, JV, Equity Solutions, Pre IPO process, Capital raising, Stock Lending, Hedging, Debt Solutions, Risk Management, Liquidity Management.
Maria is certified by CISI and efpa.

Miguel Nigorra

Miguel Nigorra is a client advisor and partner at Saranac Partners Europe. He joined Saranac in September 2022 from Banca March, a family owned private bank.
Previously and over 20 years, Miguel has worked for both national and international based private and institutional clients in The Citibank Private Bank, UBS, Banco Santander International, and Banco Popular. The main motivation in his carrier as a client advisor has been keeping a client centric approach to all areas of advisory.
Miguel spent around 12 years living in the UK, and has a BA (Hons) degree form the European Business School, a constituent school of Regent’s University London and a PDG form I.E.S.E Business School.
